How the Church Runs

CHURCH COUNCIL - has oversight over the whole of church life, including the management of property and finance.
 

GENERAL CHURCH MEETING - open to the whole congregation, usually meets once a year.
 

COMMITTEES
 
  Pastoral Visiting - arrangements for pastoral care :
Revd Alan Smithson is chair of the Pastoral Visitor meetings.
  JAM Club - co-ordinates the Sunday work with children.
Leader: Jan Deeming
  Finance & Property - responsible for budget, accounts and financial recommendations,
and for the care and maintenance of the premises, within an agreed annual budget.
Chair: Dr. Keith Dennis.  Secretary: Amanda Hume.  Treasurer:  Jill Walker.
  Mission - co-ordinates the work of Home and World Mission and other mission opportunities.
Chair and Secretary:  Ruth Dennis
  Outreach - a group involved in planning approved projects of mission and evangelism.
Convenor: Peter Le Brocq
  Project - a group co-ordinating the fund raising for the church charity projects.

  Worship Consultation - an open consultation on all aspects of church worship and services.
Convenor: Karen Hyde


 

Much voluntary work is done in all these areas, without which the church could not function.
